Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade

Upgrade of the Rosedale wastewater treatment plant on Auckland's North Shore, put at $600m within Watercare's ten-year capital programme. The solids-stream component adds thermal hydrolysis, a $28m contract with Norwegian supplier Cambi for two systems due in 2028, which lets the plant treat more wastewater on its existing footprint instead of building further large structures on site. Like the Central Interceptor this is a named wastewater project inside the $15.2b programme and is tracked separately from the water-supply portfolio entry. No completion date for the wider upgrade is published, so none is shown.
