Extension of Ultra-Fast Broadband and the Rural Broadband Initiative to remaining Northland communities, including fixed wireless and fibre to under-served areas, funded through Crown Infrastructure Partners. No combined total is published for the two programmes in Northland, so no figure is shown. Government investment in Northland UFB connectivity is $71.2m, delivered with Northpower, which reached the Whangārei catchment by 2014 and expanded in 2017 to Ruakākā, One Tree Point, Waipū, Dargaville, Mangawhai, Maungaturoto, Ruawai, Paparoa, Kaiwaka and Hikurangi. A further 7,441 Northland households and businesses are covered by the second round of the Rural Broadband Initiative.
