A 168MW solar farm across about 230ha on Christchurch Airport land, phase one of the wider Kōwhai Park precinct, connecting to Orion's Canterbury distribution network. Developed by Lightsource bp and Contact Energy with the airport. Around 300,000 panels; the last was installed in June 2026. No build cost has been published.

- 2024Lightsource bp secures a NZ$267m green financing loan from Westpac New Zealand, Mizuho, China Construction Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo, and construction commences (August). The loan is project financing, not a published build cost
- 2025First row of panels installed (August)
- 2026Final panel installed in June, completing the main construction phase. ANZIP lists expected construction completion in 2026 and the project as Under Delivery
