Eastern Busway: Pakuranga to Botany

A dedicated bus rapid transit corridor from Pakuranga to Botany via Highland Park, with walking and cycling paths alongside. Auckland Transport puts total funding for the Pakuranga to Botany work at $1.4b, split between the Crown and Auckland Council. Delivered by an alliance of Auckland Transport with Fletcher Construction, ACCIONA, AECOM and Jacobs alongside mana whenua. Funding for the final stretch through Whakamaumahara Guys Reserve was approved in late 2025, early works began in March 2026 and construction on the final section started in July 2026, with the busway due to open in 2027.
